NEWLY INDUCTED ENGINEERS AWAREDED CERTIFICATES

National Highway Authority has embarked upon gigantic projects for construction and development of national highways and motorways that would also prove serviceable and gainful for the world community. We are to perform our duties with national fervor, dedication and sincerity He was addressing the closing ceremony arranged on completion of training of newly recruited engineers in NHA, here today.
Maj Gen Imtiaz Ahmad said, modernization of road network, its direct attachment with socio-economic progress, and its central role in domestic and regional trade has given NHA, the status of a service provided as well. Now, this institution is also completing the tremendous assignments like establishment of the National Trade Corridor and improvement of roads in Pakistan which are part of Asian Highway Network. Such schemes will undoubtedly help Pakistan play a significant role in transit trade in the region. Since NHA projects, he said, are to link Pakistan with rest of the world, so their implementation changes into a greater national obligation.
General Imtiaz Ahmad advised the new officers to work with devotion and uphold the truth during execution of their assignments. He urged them to have maximum benefit from the experience and knowledge of their seniors. He said, they are a national asset and they should utilize their capabilities for betterment of the country. He expected that every individual will prove a useful and capable member of NHA team and will express positive attitude towards their senior officers and subordinates as well.
General Imtiaz Ahmad also recalled the approval accorded by National Highway Council for restructuring plan of NHA, which would pave the way to enhance its capacity building with the view to meet the challenges of transit trade requirement in the future.
On this occasion, certificates were also given away to the newly inducted Engineers.
