The Federal Minister for Communications Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that the announcement of Rs46.69 billion development package for Baluchistan from President Asif Zardari will change the life of the people of Baluchistan. The government of Pakistan Peoples Party is determined to eradicate the sense of deprivation among smaller provinces and the president Asif Zardari aims to rapidly develop all areas of the country without discrimination. The federal minister expressed these views while talking to media persons and said that the masses should not listen to baseless propaganda and keep their focus on the realities on the ground. He said the present government is determined to overcome all the crises and bring prosperity to the nation. The President Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani are rendering exceptional services to the nation. The federal minister while responding to a question said that the whole South Asian region is in flames and any aggressive approach to the problems can aggravate the situation even further therefore, the American government should help the people of Pakistan and Afghanstan to improve their lives and help them strengthen their economies. Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan said that we should promote tolerance, sincerity and national interest. He said that all the political forces are cognizant of the situation and are making concerted efforts towards the common goals of national progress. The federal minister said that the communications sector is the backbone of a country’s economy and we have modernize this sector by effecting revolutionary and far reaching measures in this sector. He said many new tunnels, highways and bridges will be constructed in the near future which will facilitate trade, tourism and industry. The federal minister on this occasion welcomed constructive criticism from the media but also said that no one will be allowed to create ill feelings by playing up contentious issues. The minister said that the mission of PPP is to serve the masses and make this country an invincible force.
