The Federal Minister for Communications Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that it is our moral, religious and national obligation to help the displaced people of Swat and Dir and the whole nation should come forward and help the government in its relief efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the IDPs. He expressed these views while talking to a large gathering of print and electronic media after distributing relief goods among the Swat affectees at Azakhel Park and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Relief Camp Jalozai, which is the largest affectees camp. The wife of the federal minister, MNA and PPP leader Mohtarma Asma Alamgir Arbab also accompanied the federal minister. The federal minister handed over 09 trucks of relief goods to the concerned authorities. The federal minister said that the NHA has already donated 10 trucks of relief goods for the affectees and relief goods will continue to be distributed by his Ministry, the NHA and Motorway Police after every ten days. Dr. Arbab Alamgir said that the affectees will not be left alone and all our best wishes are with them and we will continue to support them till their complete rehabilitation. The federal minister Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil and his spouse Mohtarma Asma Alamgir Arbab visited the relief camp and inspected the medical facilities being provided there and distributed wheel chairs among the people. The federal minister and his wife also went to the kitchen set up for the displaced people and tasted the food being provided there to check its quality. They expressed their satisfaction over all the facilities provided to the affectees and further instructed the officials not to show any laxity while serving the IDPs and warned that strict action will be taken against the official against whom any complaint is received. The federal minister and his spouse went from tent to tent and reassured the people and said that the government will provide them every possible help.
